Data
Data is crucial for the ISA as it drives informed decision-making and strategic planning to ease solar deployment globally. The open access data portals provide comprehensive, up-to-date information, enabling stakeholders to access valuable insights, track regulatory changes, assess financial landscapes, and understand country-specific solar capabilities, fostering a well-informed, collaborative effort towards a sustainable solar future.
-
Our Advocacy
The ISA develops strategies and frameworks encouraging partnerships and collaborations between Member Countries. This enables information sharing and data-driven decision-making in all ISA Member Countries.
-
Country Partnerships
The ISA has outlined a comprehensive Country Partnership Framework for 2022-2026, emphasizing collaborations with stakeholders, including the private sector and development institutions. This framework facilitates cohesive partnerships through Country Partnership Strategies, tailored actions, funding mechanisms, and roles delineated in Country Partnership Agreements. The Country Partnership Agreement provides a systematic, evidence-based, adaptable approach to ISA’s engagement with Member Countries aligned with national priorities and plans. It is designed in a way that helps identify critical areas where ISA can make an impact and develop strategies to address gaps systematically.
-
Private Sector Engagement
ISA's Private Sector Engagement Strategy serves as the cornerstone for propelling solar industry growth across Member Countries. By enhancing data access, capacity building, and coordination, the strategy empowers stakeholders to overcome energy access challenges and innovate in solar solutions. Through robust policy frameworks and fiscal support, ISA fosters collaboration with financiers, developers, and manufacturers to promote solar initiatives globally. The ISA Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) launched in September 2022, aims to bring together various industry stakeholders to drive impactful change, propel investments and foster innovation in the global solar industry.

Regulatory Support
ISA is dedicated to accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals of universal energy access, energy security, and energy transition through robust regulatory frameworks. These frameworks are crucial for creating sustainable business models that can thrive without reliance on external donor support. Experience has shown that grants and donor-funded projects alone are not sufficient for long-term success. Scaling solar energy development requires significant regulatory action and collaboration among government, public, and private sector stakeholders. In line with its five-year strategic plan, ISA provides comprehensive regulatory support to Member Countries. This support helps establish environments that attract investment and sustain solar energy projects, driving inclusive growth and mitigating climate change.
-
Regulatory
TrainingISA conducts regulatory training workshops in Member Countries for officials and stakeholders. These workshops cover understanding policy instruments and financial mechanisms, energy policy design and implementation, carbon credits for climate change mitigation, sustainable business models for renewable energy, and networking among government officials and industry experts.
