From its inaugural pavilion at COP27 with 26 sessions, 130+ speakers, and the launch of landmark initiatives like the SolarX Startup Challenge and the “Our Solar Future” roadmap, to an expanded ‘Solar Hub’ at COP28 hosting 35 sessions with 15 Member Countries and international partners, ISA has steadily grown as a global voice for solar energy. At COP29 in Baku, the Solar Hub Pavilion welcomed 1,500+ visitors, featured 36 sessions, 69+ speakers, and innovative formats like Sunny Side Up fireside chats. Looking ahead to COP30 in Belém, ISA will deepen discussions around its four priority pillars—Catalytic Finance Hub, Global Capability Centre and Digitisation, Regional and Country Level Engagement and Technology Roadmap and Policy—bringing together governments, institutions, and innovators to accelerate solar adoption and drive progress on SDG 7 and 13.

At COP29, the Solar Hub hosted 36 sessions that brought forward new ideas, innovative financial models, and ISA’s flagship initiatives, while extending crucial support to SIDS and LDCs. At COP30 in Belém, ISA will build on this success with 33 sessions—6 jointly led with partners, 5 ISA-led, 17 partner-led, and 5 country-led—spotlighting global collaborations and actionable pathways for scaling solar. The ISA Solar Hub Pavilion will further energise the agenda as a vibrant arena for high-level dialogues, partner engagement, country showcases, and interactive experiences, positioning solar at the heart of an inclusive energy transition.

At COP30, ISA’s pavilion will serve three key roles. First, as a convener, it will unite governments, financiers, innovators, and civil society in a neutral hub that bridges North and South, public and private, reinforcing ISA as the trusted global voice of solar. Second, as a catalyst, it will turn ideas into action by brokering partnerships, mobilising finance, and launching projects and MoUs, ensuring commitments lead to measurable impact. Third, as a champion of people-centered solar transformation, it will highlight voices from farmers, youth, entrepreneurs, and indigenous communities, showcasing solar as not just technology, but a driver of dignity, equality, and opportunity.
