The SIDS Platform aims to accelerate affordable and resilient solar and storage deployment across Small Island Developing States by addressing the full project lifecycle, from preparation and procurement to delivery. ISA aims to help SIDS reduce energy costs, enhance resilience, and build pathways towards sustainable, self-reliant energy systems. Central to this mission is improving procurement outcomes, expanding qualified developer participation, and creating conditions for bankable, scalable, and people-centred solar investments that respond to SIDS realities.

The SIDS Platform is delivered through a dedicated operational ecosystem that combines global coordination with regional presence and expert support. At its core is the SIDS Platform Coordination Unit (SPCU), housed within the International Solar Alliance and supported by a global Panel of Experts and regional coordinators working closely with governments and partners. This ecosystem is further strengthened through partnerships with the World Bank Group, regional institutions, and SIDS governments.
