ISA at COP31
Ambition to Action: Accelerating the Solar Energy Transition
From its inaugural pavilion at COP27, with 26 sessions, 130+ speakers and the launch of landmark initiatives including the SolarX Startup Challenge and the Our Solar Future roadmap, to an expanded Solar Hub at COP28 featuring 35 sessions with 15 Member Countries and international partners, ISA has continued to strengthen its role as a global platform for advancing solar energy.
At COP29 in Baku, the Solar Hub Pavilion welcomed 1,500+ visitors and hosted 36 sessions with 69+ speakers, alongside engaging formats such as Sunny Side Up fireside chats. At COP30 in Belém, ISA further advanced dialogue across its four strategic pillars: Catalytic Finance Hub, Global Capability Centre and Digitisation, Regional and Country-Level Engagement, and Technology Roadmap and Policy.
At COP31, ISA will build on this momentum to connect policy, finance, technology and implementation, bringing governments, institutions, industry and innovators together to accelerate solar deployment, mobilise investment and translate global ambition into action on the ground, advancing progress towards SDG 7 and SDG 13.

ISA's Sessions at COP31
At COP29, the Solar Hub hosted 36 sessions featuring new ideas, innovative financial models and ISA’s flagship initiatives, while highlighting the priorities of SIDS and LDCs. At COP30 in Belém, the Pavilion further expanded its reach, bringing together 900 participants and 140 speakers, including 12 Ministers, across 30+ sessions and 7 Sunny Side Up conversations. It featured high-level announcements, report launches and 2 ministerial-level Action Agendas, bringing ministers, utility heads, negotiators, financiers, technologists and innovators together in one space.
The Pavilion emerged as a hub for action, collaboration and solutions, reinforcing ISA’s mission to advance affordable, resilient and future-ready solar transitions worldwide.
At COP31, ISA will build on this momentum with a programme of high-level dialogues, country and partner-led sessions, knowledge exchange and interactive experiences. The Solar Hub Pavilion will connect governments, institutions, industry and innovators to advance conversations on solar deployment, finance, technology and implementation, translating global ambition into actionable pathways for an inclusive energy transition.
