SOLARX STARTUP CHALLENGE: APAC 2024
The second edition of the SolarX Startup Challenge, launched at COP28 in December 2023, received 250 applications, showcasing strong regional commitment to solar innovation. Thirty startups—20 from the Asia-Pacific region and 10 from India—were selected as winners for their scalable solutions. They will receive funding, mentorship, investor connections, and market access through an acceleration program led by ISA, Invest India, and other partners to drive impactful solar adoption.

Country-wise Representation of Winners
After the success of the SolarX Startup Challenge 2023 in Africa, ISA launched the second edition for the Asia-Pacific region and India at COP28 in December 2023. This challenge aimed to boost entrepreneurship, drive solar adoption, and fill energy and investment gaps in the Asia-Pacific region, which is crucial for a sustainable, low-carbon future. 250 applications were received out of which 30 startups were selected as winners of the SolarX Startup Challenge: APAC 2024. Out of these, 20 are from the Asia-Pacific region and 10 are from India. They address local needs, which have the potential for upscaling. Each winner will receive funding and support through an acceleration program. In addition, ISA, Invest India, and other partners will provide the winners with mentorship, investor connections, and market access. This support will help them grow their innovations and make a large impact in the solar energy field.
