About the Program
Indian Technical and Economic Co-operation (ITEC) Training Program is an initiative aimed at accelerating the deployment of solar energy and enhancing capacity building in this crucial field. By providing training opportunities and fostering skill development, ISA strives to boost efficiency, productivity, and ultimately, widespread adoption of solar energy solutions. Through the ITEC program, the International Solar Alliance ISA endeavours to increase energy access and create an enabling environment for the global uptake of solar energy, positively impacting millions of lives.
Training Opportunities

In alignment with the Government of India's commitment, ITEC offers training slots to ISA Member Countries on an annual basis. Our comprehensive training program covers various aspects of solar energy technology, including solar water pumps, street lighting, home lighting systems, off-grid applications, mini-grids, and rooftop installations. Under the guidance of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, we are committed to training 165 master trainers from ISA Member Countries who have ratified the ISA Framework Agreement.

By collaborating with National Focal Points and the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), we ensure the delivery of standardized and comprehensive training programs, the ITEC program aims to facilitate capacity-building, technology promotion, and research and development (R&D) efforts among Member Countries.
Global Impact

Our inaugural training session took place in September 2018 at the National Institute of Solar Energy, India, welcoming participants from key African and Latin American nations. Currently, our ongoing training session hosts participants from diverse countries, representing a broad spectrum of geographical regions.
