The SIDS E-Marketplace is a dedicated gateway through which island governments can showcase their solar and storage projects to global developers, EPCs, and financiers. It brings visibility, structure, and predictability to renewable energy procurement by placing government-endorsed projects within a transparent and expert-supported ecosystem. Designed by the International Solar Alliance (ISA) in partnership with the World Bank Group, the E-Marketplace enables SIDS to move from isolated tenders towards a globally socialised, coordinated, competitive, and well-prepared procurement cycle, while fully preserving government ownership.
Listing projects on the E-Marketplace gives SIDS access to a global pool of qualified developers, boosting competition and project bankability. It offers expert support, standardised bidding, and greater visibility across MDBs, DFIs, and private investors. For smaller markets, it reduces costs and risks while enabling better pricing and stronger partnerships.
