Building Resilient Solar Supply Chains: Report Launch and Path Forward

Slider

Venue: Ballroom 2, Hotel Grand Hyatt Goa in Goa, India

19 Jul 2023 To 19 Jul 2023

To achieve net zero and energy access goals, Solar PV installations must increase from ~250 GW per year to over 1000 GW per year by 2030. Solar PV supply chains however remain heavily concentrated with a limited number of regions manufacturing solar at scale.

This event will launch ISA’s report on Building Resilient Global Solar Supply Chains as part of the Transforming Solar Supply Chains CEM workstream. The authors Becquerel Institute will present the key findings and results and the International Solar Alliance will discuss the steps forward to building solar supply chains in different regions of the world. In the second half of the event, there will be a panel discussion, moderated by ORF, on the path forward for policy to promote regional supply chains, including cross-border trade, supportive manufacturing policy, technology transfer and standards harmonization. There will be representations from different regional perspectives.
